Terms of Service

1. The Service

Briv is an AI-powered chief of staff that reads business email (with your permission), classifies messages, and delivers morning briefings and related tools. Features may change as we improve the product. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Briv.
• Notify us promptly at hello@getbriv.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to access other users' data or our systems without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to send spam or harass others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Third-party services

Briv integrates with third parties such as Google (Gmail and sign-in), Supabase, and payment or email providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party products or outages outside our reasonable control.

When you connect Gmail, you authorize read-only access as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke that access at any time.

5. AI and business decisions

Briefings and classifications are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or omissions. Briv is a productivity tool, not legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice. You remain solely responsible for decisions you make based on information in your inbox or in Briv outputs. Review important matters with qualified professionals.

6. Fees and trials

Some features may be free during early access or trial periods. Paid plans, when offered, will be described at checkout or on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated in a promotion.

7. Intellectual property

We own the Service, including software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of your email and content. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIV INC. AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Briv at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will survive.

11. General

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections apply in your country.
• Disputes will be resolved in courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by law.
• If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
